Legendary Hollywood heartthrob Jack Nicholson, who has largely stayed out of the public eye in recent years, quietly celebrated his 89th birthday on April 23. According to insiders, the actor still misses the greatest love of his life — Anjelica Huston, best known to many as Morticia from The Addams Family — and continues to regret the mistakes that destroyed their 17-year relationship.
Jack and Anjelica first met at a party at his Los Angeles home back in 1973. Their romance was passionate and complicated, marked by repeated breakups and reconciliations over the years. But in 1990, everything finally came to an end after a revelation Anjelica could no longer forgive.
She had endured many things throughout their relationship, but the final blow came when Jack admitted that another woman — actress Rebecca Broussard — was expecting his child.
“He feels like a fool for ruining everything,” a source revealed. “He often talks about how deeply he regrets the way he treated her.”
Earlier in 2025, when devastating wildfires swept through Pacific Palisades, Nicholson reportedly used the crisis as an opportunity to reconnect with the woman he never truly stopped loving. As Anjelica evacuated her home with her housekeeper and pets, Jack was said to be the very first person to call her.
“He asked if I was okay and whether I had somewhere safe to stay,” Huston later shared. “That’s always been the essence of our relationship — when things go wrong, he shows up.”
Despite his concern and lingering affection, the 74-year-old actress has remained firm about the past. In an interview with The Guardian in 2025, she explained why she tolerated his infidelities for so long:
“I knew who he was, and I never took it personally. It didn’t make me happy, but I knew how to protect myself.”
Although Huston still speaks warmly about Jack, those close to her say there is no chance of rekindling their romance. For her, that chapter of life is permanently closed.
