Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt officially finalized their divorce on December 30 after eight years of legal battles. Their split, which followed a heated argument on a private plane in 2016, had been marked by years of custody disputes over their six children. A source close to Angelina shared, “Honestly, she’s exhausted, but relieved that this chapter is finally over.”
Despite having a prenuptial agreement, the couple continued to fight over the division of assets, including their French estate and winery, “Chateau Miraval.” Meanwhile, Brad has found solace in his relationship with jewelry designer Ines de Ramon, whom he’s been dating since 2022. Although he was officially single in 2019, Brad and Ines held off on announcing their engagement until the divorce was finalized. But recently, their wedding plans have hit a snag.
“Wedding postponed. The main issue is Ines refuses to sign a prenup. She doesn’t want to give up her rights, and it’s become a difficult issue for both of them,” an insider revealed.
Brad, who’s worth $400 million, wants to protect his wealth after the lengthy and expensive divorce proceedings with Angelina. “He knows a prenup is necessary to move forward with Ines,” the source explained. “He’s not willing to go through more legal complications, so for now, he’s avoiding the marriage discussion.”
Ines, who has been a strong support for Brad, is understandably upset. “Ines wants to marry Brad and have a family, but she won’t take the next step without being sure she’s protected. She understands what he went through with Angelina, but she feels it’s unfair that she has to deal with it too.”
The couple is currently in a holding pattern. “Brad is committed to Ines long-term. He believes actions speak louder than a marriage certificate. He’s made significant gestures, like moving her things into his home and allowing her to make renovations. He’s also openly expressed his desire to have a child with her.
