American actress and supermodel Brooke Shields shocked her fans with a revealing story about how a surgeon performed an intimate procedure on her without her consent. She shared this in her autobiography “Brook Shields: Permission to Not Age—Reflections on Women’s Aging.”
In the book, Brooke described how a doctor conducted a cosmetic surgery on her vaginal area without her prior consent, while she was under anesthesia. As a mother of two daughters who were delivered via C-section, she explained that the doctor mistakenly assumed she had given birth naturally. After visiting a gynecologist who suggested a labiaplasty, a procedure she agreed to, she was devastated to learn post-surgery that the doctor had performed a completely different procedure on her without her approval.
The actress recalled the doctor telling her, “I tightened you up a bit! Gave you a little rejuvenation!” He explained that he had tightened her vagina and reduced the size of her labia. Brooke shared her reaction, saying she was “shocked,” and that the doctor’s intrusive actions left her feeling worse, not better.
Brooke revealed in her book that she felt too embarrassed to pursue legal action against the surgeon. “I was horrified, but also confused. I didn’t want to sue him—or maybe I did, but I didn’t think I could. I didn’t want my body parts to be splashed across the front page of every tabloid. This man altered my body without my consent, and he thought he was doing me a favor by adding a ‘bonus procedure’? His audacity made me furious,” she wrote.
