Expensive watches belonging to actor Keanu Reeves, which were stolen from his Los Angeles home, have been found in Chile. The theft took place at the end of 2023, and the police have now managed to recover the valuable items.
The Rolex Submariner watches, engraved with the actor’s name and the words “2021, JW4, thank you, John Wick’s Five,” were discovered on Saturday in eastern Santiago during a police operation linked to a series of robberies. According to Rolex’s website, the watches are worth around $9,000.
Ironically, the John Wick saga begins with Reeves’ character – a former hitman – seeking revenge after his home is broken into, his belongings stolen, and his dog killed. Chilean authorities stated that during raids on four homes, they found jewelry and “valuable” watches, with at least one of the watches belonging to a well-known actor who had been robbed in Los Angeles in December 2023.
CNN Chile, citing local police, reported that three watches found during the searches were confirmed to belong to the actor. The authorities mentioned that Chilean officials have been collaborating with U.S. authorities on this case, which helped them link the watches to the actor’s home burglary. Police have arrested a 21-year-old man in connection with the crime.
Notably, the actor has been the victim of home burglaries several times. In 2014, his home was reportedly robbed twice within three days.
