In the accompanying interview, Kidman reflected on the end of her marriage to the country singer, which lasted from 2006 until their reported split in 2025. While she avoided sharing specific details about the breakup, the Oscar-winning star stressed that her priority is protecting her family and preserving a sense of stability and unity.
She explained that she chooses not to speak publicly about the separation out of respect for those closest to her. Instead, she is focusing on moving forward and maintaining strong family ties, noting that despite changes in her personal life, she still views them as one household and intends to keep that connection intact.
Kidman and Urban share two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15. She described them as very different in personality but deeply bonded, adding that watching them grow into young women has been an emotional and meaningful experience.
Reflecting on her emotional journey, Kidman said she believes in directing her life toward positivity. She admitted that during the divorce process last year, she became more private and withdrew from the public eye while dealing with personal challenges behind the scenes.

Kidman also reflected on the passing of her mother, Janelle Ann Kidman, who died in September 2024 at age 84. She shared that she learned of the loss while attending the Venice Film Festival, prompting her to leave immediately to be with her family.
She spoke about her mother’s influence and the way her life continues to inspire her, noting that Janelle belonged to a generation of women who often didn’t have the same opportunities to pursue their ambitions fully. This, she said, motivates her to live boldly and make the most of her own.
