This year’s absolute animation hit is the film K-Pop Demon Hunters. Its chances of winning stand at an impressive 93 percent – in other words, it’s the undisputed leader of 2025 in the animated category. The story centers on three girl singers from a popular K-pop group who possess magical powers and protect their fans from demons.
One of the superhero girls is voiced by Arden Cho – an American model, singer, and actress of Korean descent. Recently, she received a prestigious award for Best Character Voice at the Annie Awards, one of the most respected prizes in the animation world. In addition, the film itself won nine other awards.
Arden made a striking statement on the Oscars red carpet. She wore a black fitted dress with lace, but the true showstopper was undoubtedly the long green sleeves with a trailing hem and exquisite hand embroidery. Korean designer Sohee Park and her brand Miss Sohee are known for their dramatic, fairytale-like silhouettes and intricate embroidery. The brand draws inspiration from Korean art, nature, and vintage forms – all of which are clearly reflected in Arden Cho’s incredible look.
The main feature of the outfit adds considerable volume, giving the ensemble a bold, dramatic appearance. Arden mentioned that the dress embodies “a lot of Korean culture and history.”
