If the British monarchy wants to survive, there is only one solution: King Charles must step down. The current crisis engulfing the Crown is truly serious. The arrest of Andrew does not seem to be the end of the scandal related to the “Epstein case,” according to royal commentator Maureen Callaghan.
And all this comes amid recently released emails from Andrew’s “no less greedy and disgusting ex-wife,” Sarah Ferguson, in which she referred to the deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein as “the brother I always dreamed of” and even insinuated a desire to marry him.
These potential revelations and scandals pose an existential threat to the future of the British royal family. It is said that William warned his father about this, but with little success. Convincing Charles to strip Andrew of his titles—which was officially announced on October 30, 2025—required an ultimatum.
“William absolutely hates Andrew, and he has hated him for many years. He told his father: ‘It’s either him or me.’ So Charles had to step in and remove Andrew,” says a well-informed source.
The King still allowed his brother to live rent-free at the Sandringham estate in Norfolk, where he was residing at the time of his arrest.
Charles has almost always avoided conflict. As one former royal aide said, “Charles is now a lame duck.” The claim that Charles knew nothing about the Epstein case seriously calls his judgment and trustworthiness into question.
The King could consider resigning before his popularity falls even further. To restore his legacy and change the narrative: all attention would shift to cleansing the monarchy, a transfer of power, and a coronation focused on beauty, youth, and the future. And it could have been done gracefully. The King could have waited a few weeks or months, then cited declining health as a reason.
