Newly declassified documents from the U.S. Department of Justice have shocked the internet: it turns out that the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein was literally obsessed with Brad Pitt’s personal life. The criminal regularly received “gossip-style” reports about the Hollywood heartthrob and was particularly interested in what kind of women Pitt was attracted to.
The Department of Justice has released more than three million documents related to the Epstein case. Among them was correspondence from Richard Kahn, one of the financier’s closest business associates, who regularly sent Epstein “gossip” reports about Brad Pitt. In 2018, Kahn emailed Epstein about rumors of a romance between Pitt and Neri Oxman, a renowned architect and professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In another message, Kahn mocked the actor’s breakup with Angelina Jolie, noting:

“His new girlfriend isn’t just the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen — she also has a PhD.”
In the correspondence, Pitt’s relationships were compared to George Clooney’s wedding to Amal Alamuddin, suggesting that Hollywood bachelors “of a certain age” now want not just actresses, but women with exceptional intelligence and serious professional achievements.
Epstein’s interest in Neri Oxman was not accidental. The financier had close ties to MIT and, before his death in 2019, donated around $800,000 to the institute’s laboratory. This raised many questions for investigators, since Neri Oxman was part of that academic community.

Although Pitt and Oxman’s relationship was described at the time as a purely professional friendship rooted in architecture, the fact that such a dangerous criminal as Epstein was closely monitoring the Hollywood star’s every move adds a dark undertone to the story. It is clear that he was “testing the waters” in an attempt to draw an influential actor like Pitt into his network. The criminal ultimately resorted to a familiar tactic — trying to reach the actor through a woman.
