Recently, Sir Paul McCartney, the legendary musician known for his time with The Beatles, was seen rocking a bun while vacationing with his wife, Nancy Shevell, on the island of St. Barts. Despite the global travel restrictions due to the pandemic, the 78-year-old seemed to be relishing his annual Caribbean retreat.
As he nears his 80th birthday, McCartney continues to embrace his youthful energy by experimenting with his hairstyles. Nancy, his wife, looked chic in a pink top, brown fedora, and oversized sunglasses.
Throughout his career, McCartney and his fellow Beatles were known for their iconic hairstyles. For much of his life, McCartney had long hair. In 2018, he turned heads when he stopped coloring his hair and embraced his natural gray, moving away from his signature red locks. His new “bun” hairstyle is yet another example of his continuous reinvention.
McCartney had a full holiday season, including his trip to St. Barts and the release of his album McCartney III, which he wrote and recorded during lockdown. In a promotional interview with actor Idris Elba, McCartney revealed that he hadn’t initially planned to make an album during isolation, but the project came together on its own.
