Beyoncé’s mother has now become part of the group of celebrities who have lost their homes to natural disasters in California. Tina shared that her Malibu beachfront home was completely destroyed by fire. Since Tuesday, the area has been hit by some of the strongest hurricanes in the past decade, sparking fires that have devastated thousands of buildings.
The fire occurred after Knowles celebrated her 71st birthday at her rural home on January 4. “This was my favorite place, my sanctuary, my sacred happy place. Now it’s gone!” she expressed in sorrow.

The designer posted a video showing the view from her terrace, where dolphins were swimming in the ocean. She also extended her gratitude to the emergency responders. “This is what I was looking at last weekend on my birthday from my water bungalow in Malibu! God bless all the brave men and women from our fire department who risked their lives in such dangerous conditions. We thank you for your courage and selflessness, and for saving so many lives. It could have been much worse if it weren’t for the dedication of the rescuers and emergency personnel,” Knowles wrote.
Jay-Z’s mother-in-law also sent her condolences to those who lost loved ones and were left without homes due to the catastrophe. “I’m so sorry for those who lost family members. I’m praying for you! For those who lost their homes and belongings, I can only imagine what it’s like to lose everything you have! I’m praying for you with all my heart. I can’t imagine the pain, suffering, and fear you’re going through… I’m fervently praying for our beautiful city of Los Angeles! We are strong, and we will rebuild! And this too shall pass.”
