In the early 2000s, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were one of Hollywood’s most talked-about couples, and their connection dominated the media. When they reunited nearly 20 years later, many fans were overjoyed, as were those who enjoyed romantic stories and pop culture moments.
However, amid the focus on Jennifer and Ben, Ben’s ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, received less attention.
Though Garner and Affleck parted ways in 2015, their divorce was finalized in 2018. The couple shares three children: seventeen-year-old Violet, fourteen-year-old Seraphina, and ten-year-old Samuel.
Rumors suggest that Garner began a relationship with businessman John Miller around six months before her divorce was finalized. Miller, who leads a private life, is a businessman and lawyer who serves as the CEO of CaliBurger and its parent company, CaliGroup. He previously worked as the vice president of intellectual property at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals.
Before his marriage to Garner, Miller was married to Caroline Campbell, an American violinist, from 2005 to 2014. Their divorce followed shortly after Garner and Affleck’s separation. Miller and Campbell share a son, Quest, and a daughter, Violet.

A source told Us Weekly, “She likes that he doesn’t care about being famous or the Hollywood scene, unlike Ben and J.Lo.” The couple doesn’t seek the attention of cameras and prefers to keep their relationship private.
An insider also shared, “They don’t need anyone else’s approval to know they’re right for each other and are happier as a regular couple.”
According to those close to the couple, Miller and Garner took a short break between 2020 and 2021, as Miller wanted to get married, but Garner wasn’t ready. Another source added that while John is not overly demanding, he deeply cares for Jen, providing support when needed while also respecting her space. Traveling together is one of their shared passions, and they’ve enjoyed some amazing vacations.
Following Ben and Lopez’s wedding in 2022, people were curious about Garner’s feelings. However, it was clear that she had no issue with her ex’s wedding in Las Vegas, as she was spotted having fun with her boyfriend.
In January 2023, Entertainment Tonight captured images of Affleck and Miller having a cheerful conversation. The two exes appeared to be getting along well. The couple was later seen shopping in Montecito’s Village.
Miller and Garner are now more comfortable showing their relationship publicly, frequently spotted holding hands, kissing, or running errands together. According to a source, Garner, who was once more reserved, now takes pride in displaying their connection. “She is not as bashful as she once was,” said the insider, adding that Jen now enjoys showcasing her relationship with John.
The couple has become more secure in their bond, and a source told Us Weekly in 2023 that they are “in a wonderful position” together.
A major milestone for the couple came when they celebrated Garner’s 50th birthday with all of their children present. Friends have mentioned that while they have discussed marriage, they are in no rush, preferring to simply enjoy what they have without making a public announcement.
An insider shared, “Jen and John have a special relationship. She prefers being with someone who isn’t famous after her highly publicized marriage to Affleck.”
