Blake Lively has filed a lawsuit against her Throw It If You Love Me co-star, Justin Baldoni, accusing him of sexual harassment and fostering a toxic environment on set. Recently, new details about the lawsuit have come to light, revealing that pop star Taylor Swift is somehow connected to the case.
Fox News has disclosed some of the information from Lively’s legal filing, including claims that Baldoni allegedly intended to exploit Lively’s close relationship with Taylor Swift. The legal documents suggest that a crisis management team hired by Baldoni, along with producer Jamie Hitt and others, had created a “Scenario Planning Document.” This document outlined three possible actions that Lively and her team could take in response to the situation, as well as plans for how Baldoni’s team would handle the situation if Lively decided to make her complaints public.
It’s noteworthy that rumors of tension between Lively and Baldoni on set had been circulating for months, with speculation growing during the film’s press tour, although neither star addressed the situation at the time. Lively’s lawyer asserts that Baldoni’s crisis PR manager, Melissa Nathan, distributed this document on August 2, 2024, “to promote deceptive counterarguments.”
One of the strategies outlined in the document reportedly involved “examining stories about using feminism as a weapon,” accusing people in Lively’s inner circle, including Taylor Swift, of using these tactics to “intimidate others into getting what they want.” Lively and Swift have been close friends for almost ten years.
